A few years ago, we planned a caravan trip up the Pacific Coast— Newcastle to Noosa and back. 4,900 kilometres, 8 stops, 23 days. The kind of trip that sounds straightforward until you sit down and try to figure out what it’ll actually cost.

We searched for a tool that could give us a straight answer. Something that would model our home expenses against our travel budget, factor in fuel costs for our actual rig, account for income and savings, and tell us clearly: can we afford this, or not yet? We found apps that show you where to camp. Apps that track fuel prices. Apps that plan routes. But nothing that answered the money question honestly, nothing that worked when the phone signal dropped out — and nothing that could do it all in one place.

So we built Ready2Roam. Not because the world needed another camping app — but because it needed one that actually answered the questions travellers ask first: “Can we afford this?” and “Where can we stay that suits our rig?”

Once we started using Ready2Roam on the road, the next question hit quickly: is our rig actually safe to drive? We’d upgraded our tyres, added gear, filled the water tank, and had no real idea whether we were over our weight limits or running the right tyre pressures for our actual load.

The existing options were a spreadsheet someone posted on a forum, a generic online calculator that ignored tyre construction, or a $400 TPMS sensor that monitors pressure but can’t tell you what the pressure should be. None of them checked every weight rating — GVM, ATM, GCM, ball weight, axle loads — in one place. None of them calculated pressures from the actual load-inflation curve for your specific tyre. And none of them worked without mobile signal at the caravan park.

So we built Ready2Tow. Engineering-grade tyre pressure and weight compliance in a mobile app. Scan your tyre sidewall, enter your payload, and get a clear safety verdict —green means go, red means stop. The same offline-first, no-ads, honest-answers approach we built Ready2Roam on.

Ready2Roam and Ready2Tow share the same account, the same vehicle data, and the same philosophy. Plan your trip with one app, check your rig with the other. Your vehicles sync between them with a single tap. Subscribers to one get a discount on the other.

Together, they cover the two questions every caravan owner asks before hitting the road: “Can we afford this trip?” and “Is our rig safe to drive?” We’re building the tools we wish we’d had when we started. And we’re not done yet.

Ready2Roam Pty Ltd is independently built in Newcastle, NSW. There’s no venture capital, no corporate parent company, no growth-at-all-costs playbook. Every feature exists because a real traveller needed it — often because we needed it ourselves.

Both apps launched globally — available in 176 countries from the start. The problems are the same everywhere: a grey nomad planning the Big Lap asks the same budget question as an American full-timer heading west, and a New Zealander towing a boat asks the same tyre pressure question as a British caravanner heading to Cornwall. We’re progressively adding enhanced, country-specific features— starting with Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, and the UK, with more regions in every release.

Neither app has advertising. None. No banner ads, no sponsored listings, no “featured” campsites that paid to be at the top. When you search for a campsite in Ready2Roam, the results are ranked by relevance to your trip. When Ready2Tow calculates your tyre pressures, the numbers come from physics, not partnerships.

Unlike competitors owned by caravan park chains who have a financial incentive to steer you to their properties, we’re independently built with no corporate parent. We will never introduce advertising — not after you subscribe, not under new management, not ever. That’s not a marketing promise. It’s a business model decision.

We fund development through subscriptions. Both apps have genuinely useful Free tiers. Paid plans unlock the full capability — AI intelligence, detailed analytics, professional tools. Your data stays yours. Your results stay unbiased. Always.
